During the Microsoft Data Insight Summit 2017 event, Microsoft first demoed Timeline Storyteller, a Power BI visual that can be used for visualizing data representing a sequences of events. Timeline Storyteller can be used to present different aspects of your data using a palette of timeline representations, scales, and layouts, as well as controls for filtering, highlighting, and annotation.
