Microsoft is continuing its push onto iOS devices with two new business-oriented apps – Flow and SharePoint.
Flow works with a number of different Web services like Slack and many others.
Originally introduced back in May, Flow is an IFTTT-like service that allows users to create a number of different workflows with popular Web and Microsoft services.
The new app allows users to manage, track, and explore all the workflows that they’ve created.
While you can’t create new flows yet with the app, you can turn them on and off or review detailed run history reports.
The Activity Feed provides a central location with all up-to-date information.
Probably the nicest feature is a real-time notification when the flow is running. It will include details and a customized link to view more information.
Microsoft Flow is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
The popular workplace tool is a natural fit for iOS devices.
SharePoint is Microsoft’s popular workplace collaboration tool. And the new app provides users quick access to team sites, organization portals and resources, and your colleagues.
Selecting the Sites tabs will show you a list of the sites frequently visited and ones your following. When you choose a site, you’ll see recent activity, films and assets.
The Links tab will send you to sites and portals made for everyone i the company to view. Finally, the People section will allow users to see what your colleagues are working on.
The SharePoint app is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
To use the app, you’ll need an on-premisis SharePoint server or an Office 365 subscription with SharePoint online.
